Ecological Gardening

A hands-on class for gardeners, homesteaders, and land stewards of all kinds

Join us for a down-to-earth, practical class where we’ll dig into the principles of ecological gardening—an approach to growing food that regenerates soil, supports biodiversity, and honors our connection to the land. Whether you're tending a backyard plot, managing a homestead, or just getting started, this class will help you design a thriving garden that works with nature, not against it.

We’ll cover:

• Building living soil with compost, mulch, and cover crops

• Regenerative garden planning and design

• Companion planting and biodiversity for pest resilience

• Water-wise gardening and low-input systems

• Growing herbs and perennials that support people and pollinators

• Natural pest and disease management strategies

Expect hands-on activities, garden walks, and plenty of real-life tools and techniques you can apply right away. This class is grounded in the belief that healthy gardens can heal more than land—they nourish communities, ecosystems, and our spirits.

Come ready to get your hands dirty, connect with the land, and leave with a plan to grow your most abundant, regenerative garden yet.
